General Marine Services, Inc. is a custom stevedoring company. The owners of Guntersville Marine, Inc. combined their collective experience at Guntersville, Alabama and formed General Marine Services to meet the need for experienced stevedores and harbor service management throughout the Midwest.

Developing unload and load-out systems, staffing and coordinating product movement for others was a natural extension of the services long supplied by Guntersville Marine. General Marine Services took their expertise on the road in 1999 and soon extended their operations by partnering with clients to get the job done safely and economically.
